    Adding New Inventory

How do you Add new inventory quickly? The only way I can find to add inventory is in the history for opening value and it is making it difficult once I sell product. Im using simply accounting 2010. If anyone has an easier way it would be very helpfull!!

    Many Thanks!

    Re: Adding New Inventory

    Hello,

I'm assuming you're creating the inventory item by going through THIS knowledgebase article? If you haven't tried this already, try creating an inventory item "on the fly" by going through the following steps below:

    1. Open a Purchase or Sales Quote, Order or Invoice
    2. Double click on a new line in the "item number" column or in the "item description" column
    3. Click on the "create" button near the bottom left of this screen
    4. Create your item as you normally would (enter in the "description", "number", link the accounts, etc)

When you click on the "save and close" button after creating the item, you'll find that the item you created will appear in your quote, order or invoice. You can also create items or services "on the fly" by double clicking on a new line in the "item" column in the "Inventory Adjustment" as well as the "Bill of Materials" and "Item Assembly" journal. Hope this helps.
