I'm trying to print the ROE reports for 2 summer students so I can enter the information on WEB ROE, but it isn't printing. This is a recent development as I printed a ROE in May with no issues and all my other reports are printing. I have tried changing which printer it goes to, I have rebooted my computer, I've had a look in CrystalReport (Ver 8.5) and nothing I have tried has worked. Any ideas?

We do have a knowledge base article on ROEs not printing.  It sounds like this is a new issue for you... Have you changed your printer or anything since last time you printed these forms? 

If you follow the article and still are unable to print you may want to contact support or hand write these ROEs unfortunately. 

Has anyone else encountered this and fixed the issue successfully?

 I found that in the Knowledge Base but it didn't help.  I haven't changed a printer or anything hardware wise. The only big change since I did a ROE last in May was putting the latest update for Simply on. I don't think that could be the issue as no one else seems to be having this problem. I guess I will just have to do it the long way.

I am having the exact same problem.  Ever since I updated my Simply Pro 2007 I was no longer able to print any ROE's.  Did you ever get this solved.  By the way, I am also in Red Deer.

I still don't have a fix for this, I'm kind of hoping once the 2008 update comes out it will be fixed. I've been doing them by hand, but at least I only have to do a 3 or 4 a year for our summer staff. I only had the one reply to the forum and that was to give me something I had already tried. lol I will keep you posted though if I get a fix for it.

Hello ladies,

I have a very raw potential fix for this... it's by chance I heard this and the answer was stumbled upon very accidentally.

If you have Crystal Reports installed on an XP or 2000 uninstall Simply Accounting 2007 and reinstall it but do NOT run or download the update.  Leave the 2007 Simply version at Release A.  Are you able to print the ROE now?

If either of you are interested please do a test and let us know if this solution resolves this issue for you.

More than likely this would fix the problem as I could print up until I put the last update on. This close to the new version coming out I don't think I want to mess with uninstall and re-install, especially since I would have to do it to 3 computers to make sure I'm running all the same versions on each.

My fingers are crossed that 2008 fixes it and that it doesn't affect printing of T4's. ;-)

 I am having the same issue only I am using 2008 Pro. I was using 2007 and the ROE's were printing fine and now that I have upgraded to 2008 I am unable to print an ROE. All other reports are printing fine. I go to print an ROE, go through the steps, choose print and OK and then I am returned to the homepage and nothing prints. Frusterating. If anyone knows a fix please advise.

This happens because the form linked to that report is a Crystal Reports form.  I went through the supposed fix that they offer but the instructions were far from detailed and therefore not usable by accounting persons.  I am still wondering why Simply uses the Crystal reports even long after they stopped providing the program along with the yearly "updates".

The supposed fix for this problem through the knowledge base might work, but shouldn't Simply Accounting be addressing this issue and sending out a patch to fix the problem as I was able to print ROE's unitl I just installed the most recent update to Simply Acounting Accountants Vearsion 2008 release C. I am very disappointed with their lack of help. It keeps making Quick Books look like the best program to be using.

 I agree, where's the fix or help? This has gotten beyond frusterating. I am now on release C and issue is still not resolved. Come on Simply - what's the deal?
