    Won't load database (Simply 2007)

I've recently taken over as the sole IT guy for a small company. I don't know a lot about Simply, but I'm quickly learning a lot. Recently I replaced one users computer with a slightly newer one (10 years almost). I installed Simply on it with no problem. Once I got it hooked up and connected to the right network, everything else tested out ok. But, when I try to load the company database, it just comes back the the open database window asking me to open it again. This is after putting the correct Username / Password in. The database files are located on a share on a server. The share and server can be accessed via the network, with explicit permissions for this user to access the folder. On her previous computer she had no problems whatsoever accessing the database. The only other user has no problems accessing the same database. The connection manager is running and seems to be ok. I have tried logging in as an admin on the PC, with the same result. Just in case that made no sense at all. I'll explain it again differently. 1) Open simply accounting 2) choose company 3) enter username/pass in multi user mode 4) simply returns the the choose a company screen. 5) repeat step 4 after choosing the company. Can anyone provide suggestions on where I can start looking for a solution?

This maybe just a typo, but it may be your problem also. In your title, you mention Simply 2007, however there is no connection manager in simply 2007; only in simply 2008 and 2009. Are you using the correct version of Simply?

If this is not it, I would try opening the company in single user mode.
