I recently updated my DELL9200 to from OEM Vista to Vista SP1. Since the install, Simply Accounting has turned into a complete turtle. Postings take 10-15 sec. each to record, reports take even longer to generate and printing takes 15+ seconds before sending the print job.

Any tweaks to improve the response of SA2008 Basic(ReleaseC) ?

 can you go in setup/user preferences, in the Options uncheck the 2 Automatically refresh features and click on Ok.

Check if Windows Bit Defender has been activated with Vista SP 1. If so, try to disable it from scanning Simply Accounting files and folders (Winsim for example).
