75% of my clients will use my service only once (clients for weddings). I am wondering if there is a simple way to just remove them from the list without removing all their data. I see that i can remove a client only if the transactions are deleted. I dont feel it is right to remove the client's transactions in the same year but the list is getting huge and most of them will not use my service again, unless they are planning a second wedding in the same year :)

 Is there a way to simply hide them?

Set them as inactive. The checkbox is located at the bottom of the client profile window.

I have try that but it doesn't work totally. Now if i create a new invoice, they are not showing in the list, but they still appear on the main client list in the main window (where you see the list, with phone number and balance.

 Any other way?

No.  You should consider using the <one-time customer> or create an account for a General Customer and place all your one time customers into that account.

This option is not suitable enough for my needs. I need to create invoice and track their deposit and payments. I need to create the data for every customer. The way i do it right now perfectly suit my needs. I am just stucked with the client list that keeps growing and growing.

 I guess i will have to live with this and purge the clients and their data at the end of the year (prior to backup).

Sage, it would be nice if we could have the option of simply removing them from the list, like a favorite list without purging their data.

As per your other post I had that feeling already but scroll to the top of this page: there is a link called Your Voice, that’s where suggestions for future considerations are made.

here are a couple of suggestions -

1) add 'zzz' in front of the customer name and they will sort to the bottom of the pick lists

2) you could merge them into a single customer called 'old customers' - all the details of the original invoices and deposits would remain intact in the event that you needed to do reprints. this way you can keep the data 'forever'.  you need Premium and higher for this.
