Can a Bank Rec be undone?

Quick question. I have a set of books where the client has posted a bank rec using the wrong month end date (ie: 30 vs. 31).  Given the volume of the transactions, the month end / year end reports are out of balance.  Can this bank reconcilation be undone....or is there a way to edit the rec to the correct date? (the client has also posted two months worth of bank recs after the above error)...

hi: Once a bank rec has been posted you can't go back and undo it. You can go and reset it. But is that really necessary? If you did a bank rec "by hand" would it actually reconcile? If so, then you don't have a problem anyway. Does the bank reconcile at the end of the two other months since the "error"? If so, it is not necessary to have the bank rec done any differently. I have done the books for all my clients for the past 10 years and never needed to do a bank rec in the Simply program. It is basically irrelevant if you can do a "by hand" bank rec. Rita Deering
