Hello

I installed Simply Accounting 2008 Premium recently. I'm not too pleased with the slow performance of this product; I have tried adjusting connection manager and mysql settings as suggested in the Knowldegebase but no apparent improvement in speed of operation has occurred. Is it possible to export the data files in such a way that they can be used by Simply Accounting 2007 Pro?  I might be better off staying with the older product.

Unfortunately, you cannot go back without either:

 -Starting from scratch

or

-Starting from the last backup you have from the 2007 format

 Unfortunately, 2008 uses a completely different file format system and coding (mySQL) which makes it impossible to go back to the old system (Access)

Have you done the latest update (Release C)?  This release fixed some major performance issues with the 2008 version.
