    If I am posting the return of an item (such as returning a hammer to Home Depot) via the purchase return account, should I enter it as a negative quantity to reduce the value or does simply take that into consideration?

     Hi bobdog,

    I'm assuming that you're posting a negative invoice in order to process the return so yes, you would enter a negative quantity in order to reverse it.
