Client reboot - Server not releasing users

From time to time our client machine will reboot due to whatever reason. The database does not release the user from the system until the server is re-booted.

If the client is turned off and the user hasn't exited from Simply correctly, the server will not recognize that the client has gone away and maintains the connection and ties up one of the user licenses until the server is restarted.

We have tried using the connection manager v2.0 on the server to stop the connections and the system just shows the connections again even though the client machine is powered off.

Logging into the system as sysadmin shows the user connection under properties even though the user machine is powered off.

How can I reset the connections to disconnect the unconnected users without restarting the server and forcing everyone in the company off the network? This is a very bothersome process, very time consuming and costly.

    Thanks for your help! Shawn
