General Journal Entry after creating pay check

I just realized that i havent been doing entries in the general journal after creating pay checks. The only thing i cant seem to remember is which accounts to debit and credit. Can anyone help me with that?

Hi there:  You need to be more specific when asking questions.  It is very difficult to give you a correct answer when it's hard to make out what the question is.

Are you handwriting your paycheques?  Or are you printing them from the Simply Payroll module?   It makes a difference in order to be able to answer your question.

If you are printing cheques from the Simply Payroll module, then the entry to record the payroll and the paycheque is taking place when you do the payroll entry and there is no need for you to then make an entry in the general journal.  If you need more clarification then get back to the forum with a more explicit question.  Rita Deering
