First of all, I would try and print a word document. If that prints, then we know printer is connected and working.
Second, as someone mentioned can you do a print preview from the cheque screen and see the cheque on the screen. If you can, click on the printer icon on that screen. Does that print? if it does, then you should be able to print normally next time.
Thrid, if you can't see the print preview screen, then you probably have pre-printed setting selected. Try and go back to Settings-> Reports and Forms-> Cheques-> Bank-> Payroll Cheque Settings and change it from 'Pre-Printed' to 'Custom Form'. Also, check the correct printer is selected. Press ok, and try again.
